Casino Executives, Congressional Leaders Discuss Minority Hiring.

Mar. 30--Executives of MGM Mirage, Park Place Entertainment and Harrah's Entertainment met Thursday in Washington, D.C., with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to discuss the casino industry's efforts to improve minority hiring.
The Capitol Hill meeting was arranged by Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Las Vegas, and was attended by six casino industry executives, American Gaming Association officials and about 15 black House members.
The 90-minute breakfast gathering focused on the casino industry's efforts to hire minority employees and executives, employ minority contractors and buy products from minority vendors.
