Bellevue, Wash., Enterprise-Project Software Maker Names New CEO.

Mar. 30--To hear Rob Dickerson tell it, now is a good time to take on the job as chief executive officer of Pacific Edge Software, considering it's an e-business company that hasn't laid anybody off, has growing revenues and is still sitting on $20 million in venture capital.

That's the bright side, but Dickerson, who took the post at the Bellevue company yesterday, has plenty of challenges. Corporations are cutting their spending on technology, and many customers are still hazy about what Pacific Edge's enterprise project systems do and whether they're needed.
