Northwest U.S. Projects Take Hit in Bush Administration's Proposed Budget.

Apr. 10--WASHINGTON--Boeing's efforts to sell airplanes overseas and compete with Airbus Industrie for foreign sales could take a major hit under a $1.96 trillion budget the Bush administration sent to Congress on Monday.
In addition, the White House budget plan would cut funding to clean up radioactive waste at Hanford and other Department of Energy sites, raising the possibility the State of Washington may have to file a lawsuit to keep the Hanford project on schedule.
As expected, the budget proposal provides none of the $75 million Sound Transit says its needs in the next fiscal year for its light-rail project. Also cut was a Clinton administration...
