Anglo-Dutch Publisher Reed Elsevier Says It's Feeling Effects of Slowdown.

Apr. 11--Reed Elsevier made significant progress last year, with financial results ahead of expectations, but the U.S. economic slowdown is hurting the Anglo-Dutch publisher's operations, company officials said Tuesday.
Reed Elsevier owns Miami Twp.-based Lexis-Nexis, an online broker of legal, news and business information.
Morris Tabaksblat, chairman of Reed International plc and Elsevier NV, told shareholders in London on Tuesday that "the slowing of the U.S. economy is having an impact on our business to business operations, but we believe this to be manageable."
