Naming-Rights Money Becomes Part of Fight over Orlando, Fla., NBA Team's Arena.

Apr. 11--The Orlando Magic could pick up an extra $100 million by following the lead of numerous professional teams and selling the rights to name its hoped-for arena to a flush corporation willing to pay for the exposure.
But whether that new arena ever gets built may well depend on how much of that naming-rights money the Magic are willing to put toward the building's $250 million price tag. For the moment, Magic executives say they intend to keep most, if not all, of it.
And that is not being well received by Orlando and Orange County officials, who are expected by the Magic to find a minimum of $200 million in public money for the project.
