Orange County, Fla., Commissioner says NBA Team Should Pay More toward Arena.

Apr. 17--Orange County Commissioner Ted Edwards took the Orlando Magic to task Monday night for what he described as a low-ball offer to get a new arena on the backs of taxpayers.

In front of the county's Republican party executive committee, Edwards essentially summed up the position of other commissioners and Chairman Rich Crotty, who say the Magic need to contribute more than just $10 million cash to a $250 million arena.

Reducing the public's share from 80 percent to no more than half is an idea that seems to be building momentum.
