California Millionaire Set to Become First `Space Tourist'.

Apr. 23--CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.--It's expected to become official today: California millionaire Dennis Tito will blast off this week as the world's first tourist in space.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has grudgingly signed off on his controversial launch Saturday aboard a Russian rocket to the international space station, agency sources told the Orlando Sentinel. An agreement governing the terms of his flight is expected to be ratified during a teleconference this morning between all of the program's international partners.
