Erie, Pa., Warehouse Market Cools as Economy Slows.

Apr. 27--Erie International Airport officials recently found something new on their hands -- empty warehouse space.
Two tenants have moved out of the former Penn Brass building that the Erie Municipal Airport Authority bought last year, and now 72,000 square feet of the building's 138,000 square feet are empty.
But while this is a new experience for airport officials, it's not an isolated case in Erie County these days.
The demand for warehouse and manufacturing space has cooled recently, due in part to the softening economy and also to some changes that companies in the region have made in operations and logistics.
