Computer Memory Firm Lays Off 80 More, Half in Orange County, Calif.

May 11--FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.--A second wave of job cuts hit Kingston Technology Co. this week, as the computer-memory company cut 4 percent of its work force.

About 40 sales and marketing positions in the Fountain Valley headquarters were affected, plus 40 similar jobs in Ireland, where Kingston has a manufacturing plant. In March, Kingston cut 19 jobs -- the first ever in its 14-year history.
