Universal Studios to Move Creative Team to Orlando, Fla., from Los Angeles.

May 18--Universal Studios is moving its creative team from Los Angeles to Orlando, underscoring the city's rising importance to the company's theme-park growth plans.
Universal Creative -- a key division that designs rides, attractions and hotels worldwide for Universal -- will move its headquarters to Orlando on July 1, Universal Studios Recreation Group spokesman Jim Yeager said Thursday.
Recreation Group Chairman Tom Williams wants to align the creative team more closely with the division's marketers, who are already based in Orlando. Since he was tapped to head the recreation division in 1999, Williams has divided his time between Orlando, where he owns...
