American Airlines Affiliate To Increase Flights from Durham, N.C., Airport.

May 31--DURHAM, N.C.--American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will increase flights to northeastern cities from Raleigh-Durham International Airport over the next three months, beginning with nonstop service to New York's LaGuardia Airport on July 2.

The airline will offer four round-trip flights a day Monday through Friday between RDU and LaGuardia and two flights a day on weekends, using 37-seat Embracer ERJ-135 regional jets.

A fifth flight will be added Aug. 20, officials said. The new service will increase American Eagle's existing New York service of six daily round trip flights to John F. Kennedy Airport.
