Omaha, Neb.-Based Steak Company Puts Zing into New Frozen Dinners.

Jun. 12--This is not your grandpa's frozen Salisbury steak dinner.
In fact, today's frozen meals increasingly feature upscale entrees, such as stuffed sole suite and chicken cordon bleu, fancy sauces and desserts like David Glass Chocolate Truffle Cake.
Those are just a few of the offerings from A La Zing, the new frozen foods division of Omaha Steaks International Inc.
Omaha Steaks is one of many North American food companies trying to cash in on the growing U.S. home meal replacement market, which now is worth $85 billion a year and expected to top $109 billion in 2002, according to the McLean, Va.-based American Frozen Foods Institute.
