Florida Logs Consumer Complaints against AT&T's Digital Telephone Service.

Jul. 10--Unanswered calls and service problems are plaguing not only AT&T Broadband's cable users.

In the first half of this year, the state Public Service Commission said it logged 387 complaints about digital phone service of AT&T Broadband, a subsidiary of AT&T Corp. Complaints ranged from delays in connecting customers to service interruptions.

AT&T Broadband does business in Florida under several names, including AT&T Digital Phone. Its digital phone service includes local and long distance calling and is being offered to residential and business customers in parts of Broward and Miami-Dade counties, as well as in Jacksonville over its high-speed fiber...
