Orange, Calif.-Based Credit Reporting Firm Experian Lays Off 150.

Jul. 14--Credit-reporting company Experian has laid off 150 workers nationwide, including some at its Orange headquarters.

The layoffs occurred Monday. Experian spokesman Don Girard would not say how many of those employees worked in Orange. He also would not say what kind of severance package the workers received.

The workers came from the division that maintains and markets 205 million credit files for Experian, which gathers information on consumers and sells it to banks, credit-card companies and other financial-services businesses.
