Loss Widens at Farmers Branch, Texas-Based i2 Technologies; More Cuts Eyed.

Jul. 19--I2 Technologies Inc. said Wednesday it suffered a wide second-quarter loss and that more cost cutting could be ahead.

The Farmers Branch-based software company lost $2.08 a share, compared with a loss of 83 cents for the second quarter last year. The total loss was $860.9 million. Sales were roughly flat at $241 million compared with $242.6 million.

"Our results reflect the very difficult market conditions we faced in the second quarter, and we have initiated plans to help us deal with these conditions more effectively," said Greg Brady, chief executive officer.
