Jul. 20--Nebraska Gov. Mike Johanns held up a copy of the Thursday Omaha World Herald with a large headline that read "Ethanol wins fight in House." From the story beneath it, he read to some 400 people about how on Wednesday farm state representatives on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee turned back California's latest attempt to gain a waiver from federal rules on automobile emissions.
Johanns was in Aberdeen to speak at the American Coalition for Ethanol 14th Annual Meeting and Ethanol Conference that concludes today at the Ramkota Hotel/Aberdeen Convention Center.
