Trinidad's Guardian Holdings Reports Profit Up in First Half.

Aug. 7--PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad--Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL), a Trinidad media company, has reported increased profit for the half year ended June 30, 2001, according to West Indies Stockbrokers Limited (WISL).
GHL's profit attributable to shareholders increased by 28.60 per cent for the half-year from 55.554 million Trinidad and Tobago dollars (US$8.974 million) in 2000 to TT$71.442 million (US$11.54 million) in 2001.
Revenue increased from $400.913 million in 2000 to $450.665 million in 2001, an increase of 12.41 per cent. Operating profit increase from $59.586 million in 2000 to $75.182 million in 2001, an increase of 26.17 per cent.
