Aug. 9--The cuts at Interpublic Group of Cos. are reaching deeply into the ranks of its marketing communications organizations, this time taking David Gilbert's president title at PR giant Golin/Harris International.
Gilbert, president of the agency since 1996 and the key point person on its high-profile PR work to woo Boeing here this year, surprised staffers Wednesday by saying he was stepping down to re-establish his own firm.
He will keep an office at Golin and has contracted with the agency to continuing working with some clients.
The real news surrounding the departure, however, appeared further down in a memo from agency Chief Executive Rich Jernstedt....
