Las Vegas Development Becomes Finalist for Community Award.

Aug. 11--Summerlin, the Las Vegas master-planned community that's home to 60,000 residents and accounted for 16 percent of new homes sold in the valley last year, has been named a finalist for an award from the Urban Land Institute, executives of The Howard Hughes Corp. announced Thursday.

The other finalist is Disney's Celebration, Fla., community. The ULI's Award for Excellence in the new community category will be presented in Boston in October.
