AT&T Addresses Financial Problems of Internet Service Provider.

Aug. 24--AT&T Broadband says its Richmond area cable Internet subscribers don't need to worry about losing service if Excite@Home goes out of business.
Comcast Corp., which also offers high-speed cable Internet connections locally, stopped short of that, but it said it is committed to providing "the best high-speed Internet service possible, both now and in the future."
Excite is the exclusive Internet service provider for AT&T Broadband and Comcast. AT&T offers cable Internet access in Richmond and nearby counties, while Comcast sells the service in Chesterfield County.
