Five Oklahoma Companies Vow to Add 2,500 Jobs through State Program.

Aug. 28--Five businesses have pledged to create more than 1,500 jobs in the next three years under the state's Quality Jobs program, the Department of Commerce announced Monday.
Under the program, those companies will hire more than 2,500 workers over a 10-year period, 1,500 at Tulsa-based AAON Inc. alone.
"You hear these kinds of big numbers all the time, and they can become meaningless, but the thing to remember is that it is talking about someone who is getting that job," said Jon Arnold, the Commerce Department's senior research analyst.
Arnold said that 1,500 jobs in Tulsa or 1,000 in Oklahoma City will help create about the same number of jobs somewhere...
