Norwegian Cruise Line Agree to Equal Travel Conditions for Visually Impaired.

Sep. 11--Norwegian Cruise Line has agreed to allow people with visual impairments to travel on its ships under the same terms and conditions as other passengers, settling a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Justice Department.

The agreement is the latest reached this year related to the Americans with Disabilities Act, challenging South Florida cruise lines.

The suit against Miami-based NCL, filed in January, sprang from complaints from three blind individuals. The plaintiffs alleged that when they booked cruises on Norwegian ships, the cruise line imposed requirements on them because of their visual impairments that were not imposed on others.
