Norfolk, Va., University President to Speak in Support of Technology Bill.

Sep. 9--NORFOLK--Norfolk State University President Marie V. McDemmond will represent dozens of historically black public colleges this week as she testifies before a U.S. Senate subcommittee about the need for more technology in these schools.

In the past three years, the number of student computers at NSU has jumped from about 900 to about 1,400. All students now have e-mail accounts. Every full-time faculty member received a PC. And the number of computer science majors increased by 25 percent.
