Nuclear Power Plant May Help Tennessee Valley Authority Recover.

Sep. 18--The nation's last unfinished commercial nuclear power plant, long a financial albatross for the Tennessee Valley Authority, could help the federal utility eventually get out of debt, Chattanooga financier Franklin Haney said Monday.
"TVA has proven itself to be one of the greatest nuclear power operators in the country and with the financing we can provide it's really a no-brainer that we should bring these reactors on line," Mr. Haney said.
Mr. Haney, who has handled dozens of government leases over the past three decades, presented TVA officials last week with his most ambitious plan to date. The latest offer even includes an option for Mr....
