Albany, N.Y., `Angel' Network Investor Funds Ticket-Machine Maker.

Oct. 4--A California maker of automated ticket machines is the second firm to secure funding through the 8-month-old Tech Valley Angel Network.

VAST International of San Diego, in partnership with Japanese electronics maker Fujitsu, has created what the company believes to be the first attendant-free automated ticket machines -- which accept cash, credit or ATM cards. The technology is in use in the San Francisco Giants' Pacific Bell Park and in other venues around the country.
