Dallas-Based Vought Aircraft Industries to Cut 1,200 Jobs amid Declining Sales.

Oct. 30--Vought Aircraft Industries said Monday that it will cut 1,200 people, or 20 percent of its workforce, as the company struggles with falling sales in commercial aircraft.
The Dallas-based company declined to say which jobs would be eliminated.
Vought has a total of 3,700 workers at its Jefferson Street plant in West Dallas and the Marshall Street plant in Grand Prairie. The company has an additional 2,300 employees at plants in Hawthorne, Calif.; Stuart, Fla.; Milledgeville, Ga.; and Perry, Ga.
