IRS Still Trying to Find Some Tax-Rebate Recipients in Orlando, Fla., Area.

Oct. 31--Rafiet Hand of Orlando finally got his $300 tax rebate this week -- months after he was supposed to.

Another 4,200 people in Central Florida may not be so lucky.

That's because the Internal Revenue Service says it can't find them or nearly 295,000 others nationwide who are due tax-rebate checks.

The IRS said Tuesday that taxpayers who don't let the government know their whereabouts by Dec. 5 won't get their rebates from this summer's big tax cut until next year.

It's not that the IRS didn't try to deliver the money. The checks were returned for lack of a good address.
