Home Depot Opens Upscale Orlando, Fla., Interior-Design Showroom.

Nov. 1--An imported bronze and alabaster chandelier -- price tag $12,500 -- hangs over the ceramic-tiled foyer. Brass lamps line the entryway, along with decorative pieces of solid-wood furniture, priced upwards of $1,000 each.

The message is clear at the entrance of the new Expo Design Center, which opened earlier this week in southwest Orlando's burgeoning Millenia area: This is not your grandfather's Home Depot. Don't look for the hardware section.
