Marketing Executive Takes Reins of Bank of America's $145 Million Ad Budget.

Nov. 2--Bank of America Corp. on Thursday named Cathy Bessant the company's corporate marketing executive, a position that oversees a national branding campaign and a $145 million advertising budget.
Bessant moves to Charlotte from Tampa, Fla., where she had been the company's small-business executive and president of the company's Florida bank, a position she took early last year. She succeeds Barbara Desoer, who had continued to lead the marketing group since being named consumer products group executive earlier this year.
