Recreational Equipment Inc. Plans to Open Boulder, Colo., Store.

Nov. 3--Recreational Equipment Inc. said Friday it plans to move its Westminster store to Boulder by next May, helping the retailer get closer to the city's active outdoor enthusiasts.
REI will occupy about 20,000 square feet at Boulder Plaza, the shopping center that stretches along 28th Street -- between Pearl Street and Canyon Boulevard -- and sits across from Crossroads Mall.
The announcement also extends a flurry of activity for Boulder Plaza. Bed Bath & Beyond and Old Navy opened there last month. Last week, Macerich Co., Boulder Plaza's owner, said it was putting the center up for sale. Macerich operates Crossroads and owns that mall's northern portion....
