Home Depot Tries Again for Clermont, Fla., Location.

Nov. 6--CLERMONT, Fla.--Home-improvement retail giant Home Depot is again eyeing a location in the city.
A proposal for a 130,000-square-foot retail store with garden center north of State Road 50 at the East Lake Town Center will come before the city's planning and zoning commission Wednesday.
The project will need final approvals from the City Council later this month.
In May, some council members expressed concerns about a request for a Home Depot south of S.R. 50 and west of Oakley Seaver Drive. They were worried about traffic the store would generate and wanted the developer to build an extension of Hook Street to the property to access the...
