Reno, Nev.-Based Slot Maker Hits Revenue, Earnings Jackpot during Fiscal Year.

Nov. 7--Reno-based slot maker International Game Technology generated record revenues and earnings during the company's 2001 budget year, with strong slot sales to casinos in Nevada, the Midwest and tribal lands.

The company's earnings received an additional boost from the introduction of such new slot games as Jeopardy, Austin Powers, I Dream of Jeannie, The Price is Right and the $1 million Pyramid.

Betting levels on the games actually declined immediately after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, but they "substantially recovered" in the following weeks, rising to 90 percent of preattack levels, according to IGT executives.
