Nov. 9--A second pipeline to transport gas from the liquefied natural gas plant on Elba Island is being proposed, and this one already has a major customer lined up in the planned $450 million power plant in Jasper County.

SCG Pipeline Inc., a subsidiary of SCANA Corp., seeks to build a $33 million pipeline that would run 18 miles from Port Wentworth, to up near Rincon, and then under the Savannah River into rural Jasper County. Its path would follow mostly existing rights of way for power lines ...
