Nov. 15--TALLAHASSEE, Fla.--Senate President John McKay vowed Wednesday to sell voters on the idea of cutting the state's sales tax and expanding it to include hundreds of goods and services that are not taxed now.
McKay's call for tax reform -- a view opposed in the past by fellow Republicans including House Speaker Tom Feeney and Gov. Jeb Bush -- is likely to set off a bloody political battle in the already deeply divided Legislature.
