Las Vegas Tourist Crowds Expected to Shrink This Thanksgiving Holiday.

Nov. 21--About 265,000 visitors are expected to come to Las Vegas for the four-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a 1.9 percent decline from last year, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reports.

The nongaming economic impact of those visitors is projected at $177.4 million, up 12.3 percent from $158 million last year.

"People are still spending more money on entertainment, spending more on meals," said Rob Powers, the authority's vice president of communications.
