Many State College, Pa.-Area Residents Opt to Travel for Thanksgiving Holiday.

Nov. 20--STATE COLLEGE, Pa.--The need for the comfort of sitting down at the family table for a traditional Thanksgiving meal of roasted turkey and stuffing is outweighing travel fears for most people this holiday.

The American Automobile Association has predicted a nationwide drop of 6 percent in holiday travel this Thanksgiving week over last, mainly due to travel concerns since the events of Sept. 11.

But, whether people are taking to the skies, the rails or the roads to get to family and friends this week, many Centre County transportation modes are booked to capacity.
