Durham, N.C., Hybrid Venture Capital, Consulting Firm Gets New President.

Nov. 27--Ken Lee, an established name in the biotechnology industry, is retiring from the national accounting firm Ernst & Young to become second in command at A.M. Pappas & Associates, a hybrid venture capital and consulting firm in Durham.
Lee, 53, has been named president of Pappas, which manages three distinct venture capital funds -- the largest of which, the $102 million TechAmp II, invests in life-science startups. Lee is a 29-year veteran of Ernst & Young, most recently as co-manager of the accounting firm's corporate finance group for the health-science industry.
