Arapahoe County, Colo.-Based Envelope Maker Hopes to Rise above Woes.

Dec. 2--Battered envelope maker Mail-Well expects to lick its economic woes next year.

Robert C. Hart, president and CEO of Mail-Well Envelope, a unit of Mail-Well, holds one of its new products, an envelope with a window that enables a recipient to see what's inside. How well the firm rebounds will depend on whether it can sell label and printed office-product businesses and concentrate on its core business, said Michael Plancey, an analyst with Merrill Lynch Global Security.

"The most important thing from an investor's standpoint is to see some concrete evidence of the changes," he said.
