Dec. 6-- SEATTLE--NETWORK COMMERCE SUES LIQUID AUDIO OVER PATENT: Network Commerce, a Seattle-based Internet company, filed suit against Redwood City, Calif.-based Liquid Audio over use of patented technology.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle, accuses Liquid Audio of using a technology that uses two servers to download content and information for on-line transactions.
Network Commerce is seeking unspecified damages and an injunction to stop Liquid Audio from using the technology.
Liquid Audio, based in Redwood City, Calif., develops software for playing and selling music downloaded from the Internet. The company was unavailable for comment.
