Walt Disney, Universal Theme Parks Offer Free Admission to Military.

Dec. 7--Walt Disney and Universal theme parks said Thursday that they will give free admission to military personnel -- two months after SeaWorld made a similar offer.

"Disney's Armed Forces Salute" and Universal's "Heroes Salute," both for active-duty personnel, are good for one complimentary seven-day ticket any time between Jan. 1 and April 30, 2002. Both are also offering 50 percent discounts for up to five friends or relatives.

Universal took the additional step of emulating SeaWorld's earlier offer of free admission to police, firefighters and rescue personnel.
