Fighter Jet, Osprey Among Winners in Defense Appropriations Bill.

Dec. 20--WASHINGTON--Full funding for the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and continued production of the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft are included in the annual defense appropriations bill, which Congress is expected to finish Thursday.
The $317.2 billion spending bill for fiscal year 2002, which began Oct. 1, boosts the Pentagon budget by $26.6 billion over last year. Programs funded by the bill of particular interest to Texas include:
