Funding Approved for Graham, Ky., Plant's Military Work.

Dec. 21--GRAHAM, Ky.--The U.S. Senate on Thursday passed part of a defense spending bill that will increase funds for military work at the Ensign-Bickford Co., although the amount of money is lower than initially planned.
The Defense Appropriations Conference Agreement, passed Wednesday by the House, allocates $3.5 million for the local plant's manufacturing of the Anti-Personnel Obstacle Breaching System (APOBS) for fiscal year 2002.
The amount is the result of negotiations between conferees in the Senate, which had asked for $5 million in its version of defense spending, and the House, which had no additional funding in its version.
