Enron to Turn Over Control of Natural Gas Pipeline to Dynegy.

Jan. 5--Enron Corp. has agreed to turn over control of the Northern Natural Gas pipeline to Dynegy Inc. by the end of the month, allowing Dynegy to keep the prized asset despite reneging on its $9 billion deal to merge the two energy companies.

The companies said late Thursday night that they had settled a lawsuit related to the pipeline, the rights to which Dynegy acquired as part of its aborted bid for Enron. Separate litigation between the two companies stemming from the abandonment of the takeover deal is still pending.
