Enron's Energy Trading Business Bought by UBS Warburg.

Jan. 11--Swiss bank UBS Warburg beat US rival Citigroup to buy the remains of Enron's once dominant energy trading business. Terms will be made public on Monday. BP (519 pence, down 3 1/2 pence) and BG (275 pence, down 1 pence) are also interested in parts of Enron.

Enron shares, once UKpound 57, were suspended yesterday at 46 pence.

Meanwhile US opposition politicians are making hay from the company's UKpound 45 billion collapse.

Democrats, fuming over President Bush's popularity during the Afghan war, hope to turn his government's former links with the company into a scandal.
