Jan. 21--COMPANIES STILL WANT TO BUILD HOSPITAL IN OVIEDO: As expected, Orlando Regional Healthcare System Inc. and Florida Hospital each filed appeals on Friday to the state's decision to reject their competing bids to build a hospital in Oviedo.
Last month, the state Agency for Health Care Administration, which regulates hospitals, rejected the companies' proposals. Hospital and Oviedo officials insist the burgeoning town needs its own facility.
The companies will now argue their cases before an administrative law judge. Then the state will hear the judge's recommendation before issuing a final ruling on the issue. If the hospitals are unhappy with that...
