Jan. 24--Time-share mogul David Siegel said he and Orlando Magic officials held a telephone conference Wednesday and "got the ball rolling" toward a possible purchase of the team by local investors.
The next step for Siegel's group is to get a look at the Magic books.
Siegel, one of the area's wealthiest business figures, would not identify his two partners in the venture. But he reiterated that others in his group could afford to purchase the team outright or on their own.
"I think this will be a cash deal," said Siegel, after his conversation with Magic President Bob Vander Weide in Orlando and DeVos family officials in Grand Rapids, Mich....
