Jan. 29--CONSERVATION COMMISSION ELECTS OFFICERS: Robert R. Gab of Eureka was recently elected chairman of the nine-member State Conservation Commission. Bill Dempsey of Brookings was elected vice chairman. Other members of the commission are Dale Tesch of Watertown, Charlie Moe of St. Francis, Ron Hendricks of Gann Valley, David Padgett of Custer, Jim Rarick of Spearfish and John C. Gross of Madison. There is one vacant position. The commission reviews and makes recommendations on all natural resource development programs proposed or planned by local, state and federal agencies and subdivisions.
