Feb. 6--Frank Vumbaco and John Ryder were not surprised when Fortune magazine chose Edward Jones, the stockbrokers, as the number one place to work in the country.
They each manage an Edward Jones office here in Nashua, and both men say they love what they do and whom they do it for. Vumbaco leads the office at 98 Spit Brook Road, and Ryder heads the one located downtown at One Main St.
The magazine hit the streets this week with a list of 100 companies it determined to be the best companies for which to work.
Companies have to apply to the magazine for consideration, and 279 companies did just that. The magazine scores the companies, and two thirds...
