Former Oklahoma City Insurer Leads Boston's John Hancock Financial Services.

Feb. 7--All Jim Morris wanted to do was keep his job, but now he has become one of the highest-ranking executives at Boston's John Hancock Financial Services.
Morris put on his first business suit and went off to work as an agent for John Hancock's Oklahoma City General Agency in May 1973, two weeks after earning his bachelor's degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University and one week after marrying Lou Ann Schones.
"When I first started working for John Hancock, I had one thing on my mind, and that was, 'Don't quit,'" Morris said. "I had too many people ask me if I was going into the insurance business until I found a good job."
