Feb. 14--GAME OF THE YEAR AT TOY SHOW: The board game Cranium has taken the toy industry's top award as Game of the Year.
The top toys and games were recognized at the Toy Industry Association's annual awards ceremony Saturday. Cranium, the privately held Seattle company that makes the brain-teasing game, beat out Nintendo's GameCube, Microsoft's Xbox and the Harry Potter Levitating Challenge Electronic Skill and Action Game for the top honor.
Other winners include Bratz by MGA Entertainment for People's Choice Toy of the Year; Bionicle by Lego Systems for Most Innovative Toy of the Year; and Target for Mass Retailer of the Year.
